Contains two major compositions for orchestra - the Euphonium Concerto and Symphony No. 1 ("Esperanto") for mezzo-soprano and orchestra, with original text in the international language Esperanto. Vit Micka conducts the Czech Republic's Moravian Philharmonic Orchestra, with soloists Jíři Vydra, euphonium, and Kimball Wheeler, mezzo-soprano. This recording was the first commercial release ever of a composition by an American composer for euphonium and orchestra.
